I believe it’s a good topic, “growing trend in the Synthetic business” on the INTEX forum to discuss. At present there is substantial volume of synthetic fabrics been imported to the island as well. From the total knit fabrics requirement 50%-60% still imports and from that a major portion is synthetics. Further I believe, it was a good knowledge sharing platform to the Audience as well. I thank MUTA and Intex for organizing such a valuable forum. Good luck!.

The two-panel discussions at INTEX Exhibition 2024 provided a fantastic forum for senior members of the Moratuwa University Textile Association (MUTA) and the industry leaders to exchange knowledge and perspectives regarding the direction of the country's raw material sector. The panelists discussed the current status of this significant industry to Sri Lanka and offered worthwhile suggestions for the future. We thank the INTEX administration for inviting MUTA to co-host the panel discussions which elevated the standing of MUTA.
