We are happy to be a part of Intex Sri Lanka again after a gap of 3 years. This year, KOTRA Colombo organised the Korea Textile Showcase with 9 companies’ products on display at the show which attracted good footfalls in our booth and generated many potential inquiries from Sri Lanka for the Korean companies. Since 2016, KOTRA Colombo has been forming a showcase pavilion to promote Korea’s innovative and functional textiles for Sri Lanka’s apparel industry. We are pleased with the response and look forward to the next edition.

I am Samir and I head Karma Tex Prints Pvt Ltd situated in Faridabad, India. This is the first time we are participating at the Intex show and we are more than happy to see the footfalls. We have connected with good potential buyers and exporters here like Hela Clothing, Jay Jay Lanka, Brandix etc. and their quantum is huge. Our potential target is these 3 to 4 companies and they did visit our stall, liked our products. Hopefully we will be meeting these companies soon and if all goes well then definitely, we will generate some good business together. As far as the footfalls are concerned, it was excellent.

Intex Sri Lanka happened after a long time and it has been a pleasurable experience to participate at this show. The footfalls have been amazing and good quality visitors. We have received some good confident enquiries for sampling if not orders. Hopefully there will be good orders coming in from Sri Lanka. With the inputs of the High Commission of India to sort out the mechanism and the efforts of Worldex, Intex and TEXPROCIL to strengthen the ties between Sri Lanka and India we are really looking forward to more such fairs every year.

In terms of footfalls, it has been a phenomenal 3 days at Intex Sri Lanka. The word has got out today in the industry and since this show is being held after a period of a few years due to the pandemic, I can clearly see a lot of excitement here and the apparel industry in Sri Lanka really needed this. We are a procurement purchase order management company so we had lots of bulk merchandisers visiting our stall, learning about the platform and signing up for the future.
